The Metal + Mozart Project Pitch is a preview performance and proof-of-concept for our next major two-act production. RDE choreographers are developing work to the music of Mozart and various metal bands, resulting in genre-bending pieces that explore the intersection and opposition of these musical styles. This version of the show will be an intimate audience experience at RDE's "Ground Control", with 6 performances running August 22, 23, 24 and 29, 30, and 31.

Thursday and Friday shows start at 7pm, Saturday shows start at 4pm. Doors will open 30 minutes before each show begins.

The first portion of the performance is an Artist Open Studio including pieces inspired by our newest art installation featuring Images by Craig Kienast, with choreography by Deann Snyder and Suzann Kienast-Brown.

"When examining Craig Kienast's images, I saw many faces with mouths gaping and otherworldly beings in powerful poses. Some of them were floating elegantly, others racing across the image scape. I used these dynamic images to create the movement for my piece while examining the concept of isolation, particularly isolation from those we love, whether chosen by us or for us."
